About us

The staff at Kainga Tamariki would like to welcome you all to our centre where we will strive to give your child a happy, caring, safe learning experience which will prepare them for life long learning.

We are a privately owned family orientated centre caring for twenty five children.

​

We have an open door policy where parents, caregivers and whanau are most welcome to drop in and visit your child at any time during the day.

​

From newborn babies up to five years old are welcome.

 Meals

  • we provide nutritious cooked meals three days per week. On Mondays we have sandwiches with varied fillings and on Wednesday we have lunchbox day, this is where you supply enough food in your child's lunchbox for any meals your child is in the centre for. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday we often have 

  • Egg sandwiches

  • Rice risotto

  • Shepard's pie  

  • Spaghetti 

  • Suassages

  • Hot Chip

  • Pasta bake

  • Pasta salad

Daily Programme

this is an example of our daily programme which is flexible and changes according to the children's interest and needs.

7.30am : some children arrive for breakfast. children participate in activities such as puzzles, playdough, blocks, art and stories.

8.30 : children continue with above activities or are able to go outside to play.

9.30 : Morning Tea

10.00 : Free play - a variety of activities are offered

11.30 : Lunch

12pm : Story/ quiet time/children sleep

12.30 : Free play

2.30 : Afternoon tea

3.00 - 5.15pm : Free play
